I am a clinical counsellor devoted to helping families find hope and resilience, and learn to love and live together more functionally and peacefully.

Families are stories in the making. They are a system of relationships and patterns with ripples that are still felt in our present lives. I help families look at the patterns to see what they can shift, change or learn to live with.

I use many strategies and techniques, such as play therapy, interaction guidance, infant massage, individual and family counselling and parent coaching to help families get back on track.

Raising children can be difficult. I have been working with and advising families with young children for almost 30 years. Early intervention with families is my passion, whether relating to developmental challenges or mental health issues.

Different ages and stages of childhood can be very challenging for families who are struggling with other issues. However, there are solutions and strategies that can work for you and your situation.

I have a Masters of Counselling degree and participate in ongoing training in therapeutic play, Family Systems Therapy, trauma-informed practice and many other therapeutic methods. Ongoing professional development training and complementary experience allow me to offer families practical and meaningful solutions to their parenting concerns. I have certification with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors, Canadian Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and am completing supervised certification with the Canadian Association for Child and Play Therapy.
